I run a cmsimple 4.0 in german- with a subsite in english.
any upload button In the english subsite - regardless if in the files section or in comments - is in german "DURCHSUCHEN" and "Keine Datei Ausgewählt"
how can I correct that?

You can't. It is controlled by your browser. If your browser is set to German, the text of the button will be German.

Of course there are solutions (jQuery etc.), but to complicated and to much for a CMS called CMSimple,
