Files- and Folders Permissions
For working with CMSimple, certain folders and files must be writable by CMSimple.
On most modern web spaces you don't have to take care about it anymore, just test it after uploading CMSimple. If you can change the password, everything else should work too.
Here is a complete listing of the folders and files that must be writable.
Folders (chmod 777)
- ./backups/cmsimple
- ./content
- ./userfiles
- ./userfiles/alle_Ordner
- ./cmsimple/languages
Files (chmod 666)
The following files must be writable:
- ./disabled_plugins.txt
- ./cmsimple/config.php
- ./cmsimple/log.php
- ./cmsimple/languages/ all files
- ./content/content.php
- ./content/pagedata.php
If you also want to edit your template online, the following files must be writable:
- ./templates/your_template/template.htm
- ./templates/your_template/stylesheet.css

CMSimple 5.12 includes some visual improvements and a php 8 bugfix. 2 new constants have been introduced.
In addition, some other warnings under php 8.2 have been eliminated.
NEW in 4.8: Backup Manager
With the new Backup Manager you can restore and delete backups by the CMSimple backend.
NEW in 4.7.6: Admin Login
Since CMSimple 4.7.6, you can lock the permission to configure CMSimple and plugins for authors, and set up an admin login. The admin is allowed to do everything.
