Global search - including subsites?

Hi All
I've a site with many subsites running below the root install.
Is there a way to be able to search all subsites using CMSimple or would I have to install sonething else on the server, like Sphider for instance?

No, isn't, and it's not on the roadmap.

The most users want to have independent subsites, for example: father, mother, son and daughter, and in that case the father don't want, that users can find the barbie-pages of the daughter by searching on father's football-website
