Cant change the standard password in a subsite

Post by valmin »

Hi,
I am experiencing a problem with a subsite I have created. I can access the subsite fine but when I try to log in with "test" I am told that it is an incorrect password.

When I upload setupControl.php to the root folder of the subsite and subsequently log in with "test" at www.gentofteejendomsselskab.dk/subsite02/setup.php I also get in. However, when I try to access the CMS in the control panel, I am automatically logged out and can no longer log in with "test" and then I am told again that it is an incorrect password.

I hope someone can help me

Mvh

Hi Frederic,

at first you should update your CMSimple.

And there seems not to be a setup.php in your ./subsite02/ folder,

Hello Frederik,

it seems that your Subsite is a fully instance of CMSimple 5.8. If you copy the folder '2site' in old $CMSimpleroot and paste it there you will get a Subsite like CMSimple definition. Rename the folder to your fits and write it in your URI string, for example http://www.gentofteejendomsselskab.dk/NewSite/. You will see, that the Homepage heading is 'CMSimple Subsite'. Now you can login with 'test' and change the password. Btw, this was testet in my old vanilla CMSimple 5.8 without subsitefuncs plugin. I recommend to install the 'subsitefuncs' plugin, then you can include a navigation bar in your website template and also can search in all subsites.

Hi Gert and Gonzo,

thank you for your replies.

After having updated to the newest version of CMSimple, it solved my problem with logging in on the subsite and change the password.

So now I can log in and work and thats very nice. But now I cant log out...When I click the button Logout nothing happens??

Have you cleared the cache after the update?

Have you fresh downloaded CMSimple 5.23 today?

There are 2 logout buttons (one at right in the admin menu on top, and one where the loginlink is located in the template) - are both not working?

Hi Frederik,

so I don't know what happens on yor website.

The only way for me to understand: Change the CMSimple Password and send it to me by PM. You can change it back after I had a look,

Hi Frederik,

thanks for the access.

There are a lot of things not working on your website:

- Pagemanager
- Filemanager
- Pluginmanager
- Plugins administration
- System Info

... and I fear something more.

Because also the System Info not works, I can not detect the running php version. Which php version is running on your webspace?
