Blank page

Post by janfi »

Hello,

First, thanks for this wonderfull cms so simple and so easy to use !

I had an old site made with cmsimple 4.6.5 and i have restored it into a subdomain of a new site. Now I have a blank page when I type the url and if I add index.php to the url, I have a page with "come in >>" and an arrow to the right, when I click, again blank page.

Can somebody help me please ?
Thanks
Janfi

That's ok, it is not possible to call CMSimple with index.php, to avoid this kind of duplicated content.

You should update to CMSimple 5.12 :!: - and please check the php version.

If that does not solve the problem, please activate the debug mode:

viewtopic.php?t=443

... and give us a link,

Hello,

Gert thanks for reply,

I have copied the version 5.12 over my site but it changed nothing.

I have also opened the content.php of my site with libreoffice and I think the whole content of my old site is there.
What I could do is to install a brand new version 5.12 and paste the content into it, that is easy to do compared to the debug mode.

the url is

No, the problem is in the sub domain petitsmotsdanglais
Janfi.pw is the main site that contains cmsimple also, but with no problems, almost no content.

I would not waste time to make it work, if I could recover the datas, I could copy them in a new cmsimple site in few minutes.

Hi janfi,

seems to be a problem with your subdomain configuration.

I don't like subdomains, I use subfolders. Subdomains are the next duplicated content, because you normally also can call the subfolder directly.

Can you call the subfolder, where the content for the subdomain is located, directly? Like this:

https://janfi.pw/petitsmotsdanglais/

I know, the name of the subfolder is another,
