Shared link with URL codes

Hi all,

When I want to share a page from my website I copy the URL, and it shows up with the URL (percent) codes.
Is there a way to prevent this? I grab the URL from my main browser, Opera, but I haven't seen this before with other links I share.

Example:

Code: Select all

http://houdgroningenovereind.nl/?In_%7Buit%7D_het_nieuws
The titel of the page is 'In {uit} het nieuws'.

Thanks in advance!

Theo

Why? If you are not a programmer, don't think about it. Simply accept it, and change the linktext by hand. If you want to know more, ask Google for "URL encoding" ;)

In your case, you can try to copy & paste the link from the toc (toc of CMSimple) directly to the editor of CMSimple (TinyMCE), mostly it works, and you have the unencoded Linktext and the URL encoded link target. But I don't know, from where you want to copy and where you want to insert the link, from CMSimple to CMSimple I have tested it,

Thanks Gert,

I do share a link on Facebook every now and then. And on Facebook there's no way to make it look nice with a '[URL="'.
So I got questions why the URL had some strange characters in it. I know they won't bite, but not everybody does! :D

So you should ask Facebook for a solution ;)

Facebook etwas fragen ist kein Problem Gert, doch eine Antwort bekommen ist was, problematisch...
