The Content Management System to take away
An update from CMSimple 4 to CMSimple 5 is nothing more than an update from a CMSimple 4 version to a higher CMSimple 4 version. After the update, CMSimple continues to run in CMSimple 4 mode, as before.
From CMSimple 5.11 there is no longer a separate update package. The normal download of CMSimple 5.11 can be used as an update. You simply can copy (upload) the unpacked download over the existing installation of CMSimple 4 or 5.
After the successful update, you can decide whether the page should continue to be operated in CMSimple 4 mode or whether the content should be converted to h1only_pagesplit (CMSimple 5 mode).
If you decide to convert, please create a backup of content.php and pagedata.php again and save it.
You start the conversion by using the following configuration option:
Settings => CMS => Use => H1only_pagesplitting:
Set it to true and follow the further instructions of CMSimple 5.
